The doctors at Avalon regard the joints in your
body that bear weight (ankles, knees, hips, pelvis,
low back, neck) as links in a chain. If your feet are
imbalanced, every joint (and the connecting
muscles, tendons, and ligaments) above may
become injured over time due to unnatural twists
and strains on your body. Subluxation or even
pain may occur because of the postural imbalances.
In addition, every time your feet hit the ground, a
shock wave travels all the way through your body.
Therefore if the feet are balanced, they are able to
absorb much of that shock. But if the feet remain
imbalanced, over time the shock can cause
additional stress/ strain that not only affects your
feet but all of the joints above as well.
